Nazanin Mandi, Miguel's Ex-Wife, Announces Engagement

Model and media personality Nazanin Mandi is engaged to her partner, Michael. Mandi was previously married to singer Miguel; their marriage lasted three years after a 17-year relationship. On Monday, Sept. 21, Mandi used an Instagram post to announce the engagement. The post featured her now-fiancé proposing. In the caption, she wrote that the 'respect, peace, and love' they share are 'otherworldly.' She said those things serve as the basis for everything they are building together. Mandi called him 'one of one' and described him as the man who changed her life in the deepest and most sincere way. She also said the proposal was a 'complete fairytale' and appeared to disclose that she is expecting her first child. She concluded the caption by listing their quiet home, late-night snacks and laughing together in bed until 2 a.m., school drop-offs, and what she called the greatest gifts: 'Queen Soraya' and the growth of their family and legacy. 'I cant wait,' she wrote. The engagement follows Mandi's divorce from R&B artist Miguel. The two dated intermittently between 2005 and 2022. They wed in 2018, then split four years afterward. Last month, Miguel announced publicly that his partner, Margaret Zhang, former editor-in-chief of Vogue China, is expecting their second child. Miguel and Zhang have a 2-year-old son, Angelito, whose first birthday Miguel marked in a May Instagram post. Allegations had suggested Miguel cheated on Nazanin with Zhang because the timelines of his relationships with both women overlapped. The singer denied being involved with Zhang while he was married. He said people were claiming he was still married when he had a baby or was having an affair all that time. According to Miguel, he met his son's mother after the divorce, at an event they were not even supposed to attend, and well after his relationship with Mandi had ended.
