Gunmen seize newlywed couple and four others on Kwara road

Armed men have kidnapped a newly married couple, Rev. Abiodun David and Funmilayo Bamidele, on the Eruku-Iyemero Road in Kwara State. The two were travelling back from their engagement ceremony in Eruku when they were seized together with four other individuals on Saturday evening, September 26, 2026. People with knowledge of the event said the vehicle had been expected to use the Isanlu Road. Instead, the driver selected a back road so that the best man and other members of the group could be dropped off in Iyamoye.
