Gift Orban has moved in front of fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen in the Turkish Süper Lig scoring standings after registering his 10th league goal of the campaign in Amedspor's 4-3 away loss to Galatasaray. Orban, who arrived at Amedspor on loan during the summer transfer window, was relatively quiet in the first half before finding the net after the interval. The former Lyon forward connected with a cross from substitute Furkan Soyalp and sent a close-range header beyond Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir. The goal lifted Orban's league total to 10 goals and five assists in 11 appearances, placing him one goal ahead of his Super Eagles teammate in the race for the Golden Boot. Osimhen did not play in the match after having knee surgery for an injury he suffered during Galatasaray's UEFA Champions League win over Stuttgart. The former Napoli striker had scored nine goals and provided three assists in eight league appearances before the injury. Another Nigerian forward, Yira Sor, also scored for Amedspor after coming on for Senegalese striker Mbaye Diagne in the second half. Sor responded to a rebound inside the penalty area and directed his shot into the bottom corner, but Galatasaray held on for the victory.
